iyouth ministry

i-youth staff team

The heartbeat of i-youth is young people. Not only are they the future leaders and parents of our nation and the world, but they are a major concern of today's society.

Recognizing that young people are idealistic and full of energy, i-youth seeks to involve them in healthy activities and pursuits such as community service.

i-youth believes that in helping others, young people can discover meaning and purpose in life. They can contribute to society by adding value to their community, school and home.

What People Say

Mayor of Kuching South City, Chan Seng Khai

"A single spark can light a prairie fire. Though the effort did not seem much, if everybody is willing to join in, we can touch many and society will become more caring."

Principal of Kuching Chung Hua Middle School No.4, Teng Yu Rong

"This kind of activity is very healthy. The university students who come over as volunteers are an encouragement to our students--they realize there is a bigger world out there. Many students, especially the older ones, said they learnt a lot from the "Let True Love Soar" talk given by i-youth. They also told their schoolmates about it and encouraged them to attend i-youth's motivation seminar in the future."

Student of Kuching Chung Hua Middle School No.4, Zhen Li Li

"I learnt that boys and girls should observe certain limits and avoid premarital sex. Besides that, we need to be aware of our physical and emotional development."

Tabuanlian Community Committee Member, Mr Lim

"Before the volunteers came, some children did not like to study, but after they attended the tuition classes, they changed a lot. Even before the classes began, they were already waiting for their teachers."
