Herbert is Leadership Development Consultant with South East Asia Campus Crusade for Christ and is Chairman of the Board of Youth Work (TRAC) in the Methodist Church in Malaysia. He also
lectures in Seminari Theoloji Malaysia, East Asia School of Theology,
Singapore, and International School of Theology, Manila. He has a PhD from Northwestern University where he researched Malaysian young adult development. Ling Ming, who has been married to Herbert since 1990, has a MDiv and MA in Pastoral Counseling and Evangelism,
both from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. They conduct seminars
on Human Development and Parenting. Ling Ming enjoys ministering with
homemakers and missionary mothers. The Tans reside in Rawang and have
a daughter and a son.
